08/28/08 - Photo ID badges now required of all SBHS students
For the past six years, all Meade 46-1 School District staff members have worn photo identification badges. It has also been common practice for school visitors to sign in when they arrive at a building and receive a visitor’s badge to wear during their stay. Administrators say badges allow them to know at a glance who is who, and add an extra feeling of security in the buildings.

The Census Bureau reported Tuesday that there were fewer people living in poverty in Rapid City in 2007. However, that doesn’t mean life got any easier for the city’s poor.
