Neglect

Neglect is the failure to provide necessary food clothing, shelter, medical care, education, or supervision. Sometimes it also includes the failure to protect a young person from harm. You can contact the Department of Social Services anonymously at (605) 347-2588 if neglect occurs in your home or the home of a friend or neighbor.
