Support Groups

Do you ever feel that you are the only one with a problem and that there is no one to talk to because no one will understand what you are dealing with? Talking with others can be a valuable method of working through problems. Support groups provide opportunities to meet regularly with people who share common experiences and provide comfort and encouragement for each other. Support groups provide help with many difficult situations:

Do not be embarrassed to call a support group because nothing you say will seem strange or out-of-the-ordinary to people who share the same experiences with you.

Support groups are out there for you, but you must go to them. If you think you need to talk about a problem, please call a support group; at least give it a try. Talk to your school counselor about starting groups if none exist.
